Salary figures: verify with the district

Every salary figure on this site comes from a public source — a district's published salary schedule, a collective bargaining agreement, a job posting, or a state report — and each figure shows its school year and links to that source. Even so:

• Figures can be wrong or out of date. Schedules change when contracts are renegotiated, and transcription errors happen. The school year shown with each figure tells you which schedule it came from.
• Placement is not guaranteed. Where a district actually places you on its schedule depends on how it credits your experience and education. Some districts cap credited years or place new hires by hire date rather than experience.
• Base salary only. Stipends, insurance contributions, pension pickups, and other compensation are not included unless noted.
• Unverified figures are marked as such and have not yet been checked against the district's own document.

Nothing on this site is an offer, a promise of employment, or financial advice. Before you accept a job, relocate, or negotiate, confirm the current salary schedule and your placement directly with the district's human resources office.

Terms of use

• What this site is. Teacher Pay Explorer is an independent research tool that organizes publicly available teacher salary information. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any school district, union, or government agency.
• No warranty. The site is provided "as is." We work to keep figures accurate and current, but we do not warrant that any figure is correct, complete, or up to date, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on the site.
• Acceptable use. You may browse, search, and share links freely. Don't scrape the site in bulk, misrepresent the data as an official district figure, or use it to mislead job seekers.
• Corrections. If a figure is wrong or a schedule has been updated, contact us and we will fix it — accuracy is the whole point of the site.
• Changes. These terms may be updated as the site grows; the date at the bottom of this page shows the latest revision.

Privacy policy

• No accounts for visitors. You can use every public page without signing up, signing in, or giving us any personal information. The only account on the site is the site owner's admin login.
• What we collect. Standard, aggregate usage analytics (pages visited, approximate region) to understand which parts of the site are useful. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share personal data with anyone.
• What you type. The years-of-experience and education selections you make stay in your browser; they are not tied to your identity.
• Cookies. The site uses only the storage needed to remember your placement selections and keep the admin session signed in. No third-party advertising cookies.
• Contact. Questions about this policy or a correction request: reach the site owner through the contact listed on the site.
