How teacher pay is structured
Arizona has unified K–12 districts as well as separate elementary and union high school districts, each setting its own teacher pay schedule. Unified districts normally use one schedule across grades; there is no statewide teacher salary schedule or teacher-specific floor, and bargaining or meet-and-confer arrangements are voluntary rather than required by a statewide bargaining law.

For prospective educators
You'd be a good fit if you want lots of openings in a growing state, are comfortable comparing many separate district and charter pay scales, and love sunshine.
