How teacher pay is structured
Regular districts generally serve K–12, so elementary and high school teachers normally use the same district teacher pay framework rather than separate grade-level district schedules. Delaware has a statewide salary schedule based on education and experience, with locally funded supplements generally negotiated through collective bargaining; elementary and high school teachers are not assigned different statewide schedules simply because of grade level.

For prospective educators
You'd be a good fit if you want a state-funded base salary plus local supplements, a small state with few districts, and easy access to the East Coast.
