How teacher pay is structured
Regular districts generally serve K–12, so elementary and high school teachers normally use the same district teacher pay framework rather than separate grade-level district schedules. District salary schedules are locally negotiated with recognized teacher representatives, while the state career ladder funds salaries and imposes minimum compensation by career-ladder rung. The allocation ladder is not a requirement to pay every teacher the exact amount in each allocation cell.

For prospective educators
You'd be a good fit if you want small, rural districts, a state funding formula that rewards experience and credentials, and outdoor living.
