How teacher pay is structured
Regular districts generally serve K–12, so elementary and high school teachers normally use the same district teacher pay framework rather than separate grade-level district schedules. Ohio sets a statutory minimum salary schedule by education and experience, but actual district schedules are generally higher and collectively bargained locally; the same local teacher schedule normally covers elementary and high school assignments.

For prospective educators
You'd be a good fit if you want locally bargained K–12 district pay, many suburban districts to compare, and an affordable cost of living.
